The mission of the Howard University Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (CCBB) is to encourage and promote the application of computational approaches to the study of biomedical and disease processes. The application of those research approaches and methods that are at the interface of the biomedical and the physical science is of particular interest

Specific Aims:

  • Provide support for macromolecular and simulation of biomolecular
  • Provide support for bioinformatics and statistical genetics research including protein nucleic acid sequence based studies and the development of disease models
  • Provide support of virtual ligand screening and web-based virtual ligand screening of small molecule libraries and database development
  • Provide support for computational chemistry research
  • Provide support for computational proteomics and methods development research
